Annual Trees of Light

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Annual Trees of Light and Remembrance Ceremony is a long-standing community tradition. Join with your friends and neighbors, as we pause to honor and remember those whom we have loved, lost, and forever carry in our hearts. Gather with us in this special moment of reflection.

Held for many years in Pullman and Colfax, this ceremony is a lovely way to honor your loved one. The Pullman ceremony has been graciously hosted by Bishop Place for more than a decade. In Colfax, the Whitman County Library has opened their beautiful facility for this gathering for many years.  Ornaments bearing the names of loved ones decorate the tree and each name is read aloud in remembrance. The tree is lit for all to enjoy and remains on site for all to enjoy during December. Gathering as a community to remember our loved ones and honor them on the Trees of Light is a healing moment.

Please join us in either, or both, of these locations to participate in this touching remembrance ceremony. Download and print the form below to honor your loved ones. Mail to Friends of Hospice, PO Box 484, Pullman, WA 99163. Names received by November 28, 2016, will be read at the ceremony.

This year’s Trees Of Light Ceremony in Pullman will be held at Bishop Place, Independent Living Apartments Social Room, 815 SE Klemgard Street, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at 5:30 PM.

The Colfax ceremony will be held on Wednesday, December 6, at the Whitman County Library, 102 S. Main Street, at 5:30 PM.

We hope to see you there!
